ECPI University Online Software Development Academic Support Specialist in United States

Overview

We are seeking professionals with the experience and knowledge to help transform the lives of our students. This would be an ideal position for an entry-level IT professional with a passion tosupport students in the form of coaching, tutoring and/or mentoring.

Since 1966, ECPI University’s employees have been dedicated to helping students achieve their academic and career goals through our unique education model. Our terms are five weeks long and offer staff the perfect environment to help students achieve learning outcomes. Candidates must be available evenings and weekends to support our busy adult learners.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in CIS from a regionally accredited institution.

    Experience:

  • 1-2 years prior work experience within the past 5 years required

  • Coursework in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines preferred.

    Required Skills:

  • The highest levels of integrity at all times

  • Ability to work in a 5-week accelerated course environment

  • Ability to quickly build connections with students using strong interpersonal skills (including approachability and empathy)

  • Attentive listener, and able to see multiple perspectives

  • Exemplary interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience supporting distance learning students in higher education or other setting

  • Experience in a student-centric and hands-on learning environment

  • Ability to prioritize multiple, competing tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of both current practices and emerging trends in distance learning and related technologies

  • Orientation toward results
