Berry Global Merger & Acquisition Attorney in United States

Overview

Berry Global is recruiting a transactional M&A attorney to work with its Legal and strategic corporate development teams to provide legal counsel on corporate and transactional matters, both in the US and internationally. Ideal candidates will have 4-8 years’ experience in either a major law firm or a corporate setting with a strong focus on large transactions.

This new role will report to the Deputy General Counsel of Berry

Responsibilities

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing legal advice on all aspects of buy and sell side transactions that will be US and internationally focused, including pre- and post- closing activities

  • Work with outside counsel on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documents

  • Leading legal due diligence

  • Assist with developing financing and entity structures

  • Assist with integration activities

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one state

  • Strong experience in corporate and transactional law

  • Substantial experience drafting transaction documents, including NDAs, purchase agreements, and other ancillary documents

  • Collaborating with US and international outside counsel

  • Working with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, members of the board of directors, and corporate finance and accounting executives

The preference for this role is onsite at Berry’s corporate headquarters in Evansville, Indiana, but remote candidates will also be considered.
