As a Member Contract Specialist III , you will be responsible for the development and distribution of custom member and employer contract documents. You will handle contract documents for all product types including fully-insured, self-funded, medical, dental, personal funding, and national. You will create and submit regulatory filings for custom contract documents and establish / maintain the group's legal file.
What you'll do:
Develop and distribute assigned complex new and renewing custom member and employer contract documents using appropriate tools and systems.
Complete a detailed analysis of incoming requests to ensure correct documents are issued.
Ensure that all completed documents comply with federal and state statutes and regulations as well as Premera guidelines.
Research and respond to all general and group specific contract issues and questions.
Participate in cross-departmental implementation meetings for assigned groups.
Create and submit regulatory filings for custom contract documents.
Develop and maintain a strong positive working relationship with partner departments.
Work with outside clients including Producers and Group Benefit Administrators as needed.
Update standard operating procedures as needed.
Provide feedback and training to partner departments in issues relating to contracting.
Create legal files and ensure appropriate documents are included.
Support the posting of contract documents to secure company portals for assigned groups.
Develop custom language to support customer service quoting, and other customer facing processes.
What you'll bring:
High school diploma or GED ( Required )
Five (5) years combined experience in a customer service/public contact role or other similar role with experience in health plan document writing and interpretation ( Required )
Familiar with BQTs and/or SBCs is a plus
Exposure to Kaizen/Lean methods.
Ability to adapt to change quickly
Experience working across groups/departments
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated passion for the customer
Strong problem solving ability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.
National Salary Range:
$49,700.00 - $74,600.00
National Plus Salary Range:
$56,600.00 - $84,900.00
*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska .
