ManTech is seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Innovation Architect to join our team to provide unparalleled support to multiple federal agencies through the Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation (CDM) Program. The CDM Program is a high-profile, high-visibility, cybersecurity modernization and risk management program where you can contribute innovative solutions and consult with multiple federal agencies to enhance their Information Assurance (IA) programs and continuous monitoring capabilities.

The Innovation Architect is a dynamic and critical position within the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program. This position will contribute to the design and implementation of innovative solutions, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices to enhance the nation's cybersecurity posture. The Innovation Architect Support will work closely with the program stakeholders to drive innovation and strategic initiatives and ensure the CDM program remains at the forefront of technological advancements.

Responsibilities

Innovation Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy for the CDM program, aligned with the agency's mission and cybersecurity objectives. Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to enhance the program's capabilities. Solution Design and Implementation: Collaborate with program stakeholders to identify innovative solutions that address critical cybersecurity challenges. Lead the design and implementation of these solutions, ensuring they align with program goals, technical requirements, and government policies and regulations. Emerging Technologies Assessment: Conduct continuous assessment of emerging technologies relevant to the CDM program. Evaluate their potential impact and applicability in improving the program's effectiveness and efficiency. Provide recommendations for adoption or integration of these technologies. Industry Collaboration and Partnership: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with industry experts, academia, and government entities to stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in cybersecurity. Foster partnerships to facilitate knowledge-sharing, research, and development efforts. Technical Leadership and Guidance: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the CDM program team, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to implement innovative solutions. Foster a culture of innovation and continual improvement within the program. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare clear and concise documentation, including reports, presentations, and technical specifications, to communicate the progress, challenges, and impact of innovation initiatives within the CDM program. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks associated with the adoption of innovative solutions and develop risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with the program team to ensure adequate security controls are in place to protect sensitive information.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in system engineering/architecture

  • Extensive experience in architecture design, solution development, and innovation in the cybersecurity domain.

  • Deep knowledge of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data Analytics, and cloud computing.

  • Familiarity with government cybersecurity initiatives and regulations, particularly in the federal space.

  • Wide and deep multidisciplinary understanding of information technology domains

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues and recommend practical solutions.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of driving innovation and leading successful projects within the cybersecurity field.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, TOGAF) are highly desirable.

  • Experience in conducting assessments of an Enterprise by reviewing technical documentation, conducting interviews and workshops to identify gaps and develop a tailored solution is highly desired.

  • Demonstrated interest in security solution design using existing as well as emerging technologies to deliver enterprise solutions.

  • Understanding of and ability to script to REST API endpoints to programmatically retrieve data from applications.

Additional Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to present to senior leadership and client audiences.

  • Published whitepapers or availability to provide previous technical writing examples is desirable.

Education

  • Bachelor’s in computer science and one of below certifications or 10+ years of demonstrated work experience in system engineering/architecture and two of the below certifications.

Certifications (required)

  • Any of the following certifications:Cy SA+, GICSP, GSEC, CCISO, Security +, CASP + CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CND, SSCP, CAP/CGRC, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, GCIH, GSLC, CEH

Preferred Certifications

  • Another certification in a technical domain (AWS/Azure cloud, Networking, ect)

Security/Clearance Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen and pass a background investigation.

  • Able to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability/Entry on Duty (EOD)

Physical Requirements

  • Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office

The projected compensation range for this position is $141,100-$234,400. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
