Position Description

Main Job Duties:

  • Business partner to the purchasing, sourcing, distribution center, quality and engineering teams across DCD
  • Responsible for the completion and analysis of direct material savings schedules and the distribution to management.
  • Creates and maintains the monthly inventory reporting and tracking of projects that materially impact inventory. Partner with DCD purchasing and commercial finance to understand the inventory impact of new product launches
  • Responsible for all freight tracking and reporting including providing analysis of key drivers of freight expense.
  • Support in the COGS cost centers expense forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
  • Preparation, entry and review of monthly financial reporting for COGS, logistics, direct material cost savings and inventory including E&O; to all Region and Group entities.
  • Support purchasing through the accurate reporting of direct and indirect spend per Group requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of the LNCA Quarterly Operational Review including consolidating data needed to populate all templates and presentation files.
  • Assist in oversight and special projects related to the DCD facility in China (LED) including the tracking of cost saving projects.
  • Participates in all division physical inventories and tracks compliance to Group cycle count policy
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and implements as appropriate.
  • Performs monthly journal entries and reconciles General Ledger accounts to SAP.
  • Ensures compliance with all internal controls including but not limited to cycle count and physical inventory policies, fixed asset audits, balance sheet reconciliations, and DOA
  • Assists with internal and external audits.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related subject matter combined with experience

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Advanced Excel, BI and SAP skills
  • Microsoft Access skills preferred
  • Requires strong organizational, communication and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn Company specific accounting/IT systems (SAP, BI, Business Objects, BPC, SharePoint)
  • Analytical skills and exceptional ability to data mine and work with complex and at times incomplete or directional information
  • Mature and professional candidate who is a self-starter, able to work independently and drives assignments to completion within strict deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management

The Financial Analyst is an integral part of the Finance department and plays an important role in the division’s daily, monthly and annual accounting and analysis of direct material spend and savings, inventory including E&O;, logistics/freight and departmental budgets. Additionally, the individual will provide financial support and analysis for all the division’s warehouses. This position will have direct interaction with senior management through the processes noted above and assisting the Director of Financial Operations with the LNCA Quarterly Operations Review package.
