About the position:

We’re looking for a remote Field Support Engineer to support the Raymond Automation Engineering teams. If you are a proactive and technically adept professional with a passion for automation, capable of driving collaboration, providing top-notch technical support, and handling field service responsibilities, we invite you to apply for the Automation Support Engineer position.   • Manage and oversee Automated products and their impact to all applicable Raymond support teams such as development engineering, product engineering, marketing, and sales.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication between support teams to optimize the performance of automated solutions.
  • Diagnose technical issues, guide clients through step-by-step solutions, and escalate complex problems to the appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Provide prompt and effective technical support to customers via phone, email, chat, and on site, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to our automation solutions.
  • Diagnose technical problems, investigate root causes, and provide accurate solutions to ensure customer systems operate smoothly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and quality assurance, to address escalated technical challenges and contribute to product improvement.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns, answering questions, and providing excellent support throughout the troubleshooting process.
  • Support implementation of automated product offerings at customer and support center sites.
  • Continuously stay updated with the latest developments with new technology and identify opportunities to enhance product lines.
  • Collaborate on comprehensive training materials, including user guides, presentations, and hand on activities, to deliver effective training sessions on Automation to diverse teams.
  • Assist in training sessions in person or virtually, ensuring participants acquire a deep understanding of concepts, tools, and best practices.
  • Gather feedback from training sessions to refine and improve training materials, methodologies, and content.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, technical solutions provided, and recurring issues. Contribute to the knowledge base for future reference.
  • Assist in creating and updating training materials for clients. Provide guidance and support to clients in understanding and using our products effectively.
  • Work remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Travel as necessary to fulfill job requirements.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, comparable science degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and carry out technical activities with little to no supervision.
  • Competent in applicable PC applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% including internationally as needed.
  • Works well in a team or individual environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to present technical material to a technically diverse audience as well as a non-technically diverse audience.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience in the Material Handling Systems Industry.
  • Familiarity with automated equipment and ANSI standards.
  • Systems integration or networking exposure.
  • Understanding of wireless networking and networking infrastructure.
  • Additional knowledge of Raymond Material Handling equipment.
  • Project management experience.

About the total compensation package:

Salary - $65,000 - $90,500 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
