On With Life Environmental Services Supervisor in United States

This full time position is Monday-Friday day shift, 40 hour per week. The shift start and end times are flexible between the hours of 6:00am-5:30pm. While this position does have on call responsibilities, there are no scheduled weekend or holiday hours required.

This facilities supervisor position starts at $22/hour and ranges up to $27 per hour based on experience.

The rehabilitation process from a brain injury or other neurological condition is a 24/7 job for each person served, and our Facilities team ensure a clean and safe environment for them along the way.

A Typical Day:

As a Facilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that the people we serve at On With Life enjoy a clean, well-maintained facility. You will oversee and assist with laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance functions for the facility. You will have support from both the leadership team at the facility as well as the facilities manager at our Ankeny facility. Our priority is to provide the highest quality of life possible for each of our persons served, and it takes the entire team to make that happen.

Essential Function Highlights:

• Working supervisory position will perform and/or oversee housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance (indoor, outdoor, and vehicles).

• Will participate and/or oversee the facility safety program, including SDS, safety committee, and OSHA requirements.

• Ensures facility is in compliance at all times with state and federal regulations and assists with surveys and plans of correction, as necessary.

• Works with people at all levels, must be able to communicate effectively with others, maintain positive relationships, and lead by example.

An excellent candidate for the Facilities Supervisor meets the following criteria:

  • Has previous experience in a long term care facility

  • Experience and familiarity with Preventive maintenance programs, OSHA , Fire Marshal surveys and DIA Surveys

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old. Must have experience in a Healthcare setting.
