Who we are

Texas A&M University’s emergency management team is responsible for writing emergency plans, providing training for first responders, designing and facilitating emergency exercises, education outreach, supporting special events, and responding to large-scale emergencies on campus and at off-campus instructional sites across the state. Qualifications -

Emergency Management Specialist II - ($61,000 - $71,000)

  • Bachelor's degree in emergency management, public administration, business administration, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Four years of experience in emergency management or emergency response related field.

  • Experience in higher education emergency management.

  • Must have complete FEMA courses. NIMS 700, 800, 100, 200, 300, 400.

  • Completed FEMA instructor training courses.

Emergency Management Specialist I - ($51,000 - $61,000)

  • Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public administration, business administration, or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of experience in emergency management or emergency response related field

  • Excellent communicator, presenter, trainer.

  • Must be able to complete FEMA courses within 1 year of employment: NIMS 700, 800, 100, 200, 300, 400.
