Description and Requirements

*This role offers a flexible work arrangement. While occasional on-site presence may be required at our Cary, North Carolina location, the role can primarily be performed remotely.

Job Description :

The Director of Site Security Technology Design will provide subject matter expertise as it relates to vulnerability analysis and the enhancement of security with respect to physical security design technology.  This role will continuously analyze, assess, prioritize, and recommend risk reduction strategies for vulnerabilities discovered though on-site assessment of our locations.  As a key contributor in security technology deployment and maintenance, this role will require advanced analytical and communication skills to efficiently interact with global stakeholders and leadership teams to drive effective risk reduction across the organization.

This role will focus on the following deliverables:

Enterprise Access Control Projects

In support of our Enterprise Access Control and Video Management program globally, the associate will lead the technical design and oversight of our general contractors and vendors globally through all phases. Note, the associate will attend conference calls and actively participate as needed during each phase. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Associate will meet with Corporate Real Estate team to review Security Standards against test fit drawings.

  • During the Kick-Off Meeting, Associate will conduct programming interviews with project stakeholders, including IT team to understand the nature of the project and aspects of the project that will bear on the Security System design.

  • Associate will create a single set of schematic drawings to show recommended locations of various security elementsand includea schematic design level budget.

  • Associate will develop a design package suitable for use by Corporate Real Estate (CRE)and/or the General Contractor in soliciting proposals from Security System Contractors.

  • Associate will assist in the bidding process to solicit and hold a pre-bid meeting with approved contractors.

  • Associate will respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) as required.

  • Associate will assist in technically reviewing quotes from security contractors.

  • During final construction activities, Associate will work with the security contractor to perform functionality checks and identify punch list deficiencies.

  • Associate will work with the security contractor and IT team to conduct one remote (or in-person if possible)system commissioning of each security device once all construction and installation is complete.

  • Associate will review the final as-built drawings provided by the Security Contractor. Once approved, these documents shall be issued in both PDF and AutoCAD formats.

  • Associate will submit a Site Commission Report based on a remote final inspection and test of all security components and systems.

  • Associate will provide an as-built Document Review.

Technical Standards:

In support of our Enterprise Access Control and Video Management platform, the associate will update our standards documents annually. This process is done in collaboration with IT and key vendors to ensure we maintain technical compliance. The standards are submitted globally to vendors supporting our technology integration as well as external auditors and large commercial clients for review.

Site Security Assessments:

As part of our Site Security Assessment program, the associate will physically or virtually lead assessments of our key properties as scheduling permits to identify risks and offer remediation plans. These assessments are predominately in the US and some travel is required when not being done virtually.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of Enterprise Access Control deployment, functional and reporting experience

  • 5+ years of experience working with AutoCAD for facility security design

  • 3+ years site security audit/assessment experience

  • 3+ years site security standards creation/management experience

  • Bachelors degree

  • Extensive experience in risk management methodologies, with a focus on identifying and mitigating threats in a global context.

Up to 50% travel should be expected within the US with some international travel. A valid US passport is required.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building strong relationships with stakeholders and managing expectations effectively.
