As a Principal Consultant you will have proven experience in project delivery and business development across sustainability, climate change, and corporate responsibility service areas. Your Responsibilities as a Principal Consultant: Provide thought leadership to the internal team, and externally to clients and stakeholder (including but not limited to writing blogs, giving presentations, and speaking at industry conferences) Lead ESG projects and manage project budgets. Projects include: Corporate ESG and Climate reporting (Conducting materiality assessment in accordance to EU CSRD, or ISSB); GHG Inventory Development (Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3) and target setting (SBTi and Net Zero Modelling); EU CSRD Reporting Provide guidance to younger staff on climate modelling for scenario analysis, and target setting. Report to the ESG Consulting Program Manager and advise on program growth strategy Maintain knowledge of existing and evolving ESG concepts and frameworks, including GRI, ISSB, UN SDG, EU CSRD Maintain deep understanding of the ESG market in the US and Europe. Travel approximately 10-20% What we're looking for: BS in Sustainability, Climate change accounting, Environmental Science, or other related field 8-10 years of experience with ESG consulting with a track record in delivering on quantitative SBT, Net Zero, and Climate Scenario Analysis projects as a trusted advisor and thought leader. Demonstrable experience in using climate data to create models the conduct Climate Scenario Analysis and set Science Based targets for corporate or municipal clients. Demonstrable experience in ESG, sustainability, and decarbonization. Including a good understanding of ESG frameworks, such as GRI, ISSB, SBTi, UN SDG, EU CSRD Relevant experience in GHG/ESG assurance in line with ISO 14064-3, ISAE 3000 (revised) and AA1000 assurance standard Deep understanding of changing ESG reporting landscape in the US and the EU Excel in leading project delivery - delivering on-time, on-budget and achieving high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment Good written and oral communication and presentation skills. Present complex information across management practices, and data collection methodologies to key decision makers at clients Proven knowledge of existing and evolving ESG concepts and practices across sectors/geographies such as: climate risk assessments; materiality assessments; Life Cycle Analyses; ESG roadmap development; regional taxonomies for sustainable activities.
