Erdman, Anthony and Associates, Inc. Construction Quality Assurance Manager in United States

Erdman Anthony is seeking qualified full time construction quality assurance professionals for South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) construction projects. The projects are related to Everglades Restoration efforts and are typically located in the central part of the state south of Lake Okeechobee. Projects generally include heavy civil improvements including levees, culverts, and roadways and may include vertical construction including buildings and bridges.

Responsibilities:

  • Review drawings and specifications, addenda, change orders, RFIs, submittals, etc. to thoroughly understand the project requirements.

  • Manage an effective Quality Assurance (QA) program for the Owner.

  • Review Contractor’s qualifications including Letters of Authority, Contractor’s Quality Control Manager (QCM) resume, and key QC staff resumes, to verify compliance with Contract Documents.

  • Review Contractor’s Quality Control Plan (QCP) and monitor the Contractor’s Quality Control program and System.

  • Attend and participate in meetings including Mutual Understanding Meeting (MUM), Quality Management meetings, Control Phase Inspections, and Progress Meetings.

  • Participate in all Definable Features of Work (DFOW)-related activities, including:

  • Review Contractor’s Initial DFOW list

  • Review Work Plans and monitor Work Plan Log

  • Review Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)

  • Review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)

  • Monitor Deficiencies Log, and Non-Conformance/Corrective Actions issues.

  • Coordinate testing and inspections with Contractor’s QCM.

  • Review Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Daily Reports and report any discrepancies.

  • Assist with monitoring documentation required in the Contract Documents.

  • Verify that As-Builts are updated by the Contractor monthly and review final As-Built documents.

  • Participate in all completion inspections including punch out, pre final, and final follow up.

    Requirements:

  • 5+ years of construction inspection or other similar quality assurance experience

  • High school diploma; civil engineering or construction management degree preferred.

  • SFWMD or USACE construction inspection/management experience

  • Experience with USACE three phase quality control process preferred

  • Experience with site civil and vertical construction preferred.

  • Valid Florida driver’s license

  • Good organizational and communication skills

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
