CARDIOLOGY TECHNICIAN I: Responsible for performing the graded exercise testing under the supervision of the staff R.N. The tech assists the pt. in getting ready for the test: applies electrodes, may need to take vital signs, watches the monitor, etc. Notifies R.N. for any

abnormalities in heart rhythm. Displays Service Excellence and has strong interpersonal skills. Cognizant of cardiac abnormalities. May need to perform signal average EKG’s, halter monitor testing, or EKG’s. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: High School Degree

EXPERIENCE: Up to 1 year in a related field

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: May need to start IV’s.
