Business Development & Marketing Job Description

I. Key Job Tasks

  1. Sales/Marketing Plan
  • Design and implement annual regional marketing plan

  • Translate objectives and strategies to facilitate business unit growth

  • Develop strategy based on knowledge of the market and clients

    1. Business Development Activities

    · Oversee regional Business Development

    · Effectively set prospective client meetings and presentations

    · Service existing client portfolio

    · Plan and coordinate client entertainment events

    · Responsible for regional marketing communications

    · Work with marketing staff on updating marketing database

    · Assist in the development of promotional materials including marketing collateral

    II. Job Specifications

  • BS/BA (Marketing or related field preferred)

  • Minimum 3 years marketing experience at a professional services organization. Insurance services related experience preferred.

  • Experience with prospecting, networking, and new business development

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution

  • Responsive to internal and external stakeholders and is competent, dedicated, and efficient

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to prosper in a dynamic, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment

  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter with hands-on approach
