Description

The health services that became theAnthony L Jordan Health Corporation (http://www.jordanhealth.org/) (Jordan Health) began more than 100 years ago, in 1904. As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants ofRochester, NY (http://www.city-data.com/city/Rochester-New-York.html) and in Canandaigua, N.Y.

Jordan Health is now seeking anAssociate Chief Medical Officerwho, under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer, is primarily responsible for assisting in leading the medical component of Jordan Health focusing on population health and integration of all health care services in a community health center. To assist in positioning expansion of Jordan Health’s care programs and ensure the sustainability of exceptional clinical services integrated within Jordan Health’s centers.

Requirements

TheAssociate Chief Medical Officerwill ensure that:

· Targets for clinical capacity and utilization are established and met and the financial success of the clinical program is achieved.

· Clinical outcomes are improved through evidence-based strategies and innovative care approaches.

· Organizational systems and processes support Jordan Health’s strategic direction and operational expectations are achieved.

· The Associate CMO is regarded as an example of leadership excellence, inspiring commitment in others.

Education And Experience Required:

· Three to five years’ clinical experience, minimum, to include demonstrated people management experience.

· Master’s degree required; doctoral degree preferred.

Licenses And Certifications:

· Certification in Primary Care specialty if a Physician or Nurse Practitioner

OR

· Graduate of an AMA approved PA program and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant is required.

· Must possess a current NYS license as a clinical provider, including MD, DO, NP or PA.

Special Skills, Knowledge Required:

· Ability to work well with patients.

· Ability to deliver care through health promotion teaching or counseling, technical expertise, crisis intervention and evaluation of the client’s response to interventions.

· Cognizance of the prevalent stressors and their impact in both the professional provider and the patient populations in the community health center primary care setting.

· Awareness of pressures, economic and otherwise, from private, public and legislative arenas as they determine the climate in which public health agencies operate.

· Ability to work creatively and collaboratively with other health care professionals from a variety of disciplines to achieve maximum productivity.

· Ability to assist in promoting growth and development of fellow professionals.
