The Department of Radiology at the Keck School of Medicine (KSoM) of the University of Southern California (USC) seeks an outstanding faculty candidate for a position on the clinical track in the area of Breast imaging. Successful candidates are expected to have publications and interest in academic endeavors. Successful applicants will be expected to develop collaborative research with USC KSOM faculty. The Breast Imaging section has a great relationship with the departments of breast surgery and medical oncology and collaborates with them on research projects.

The Department of Radiology is comprised of over 73 academically active faculty members. We have been academically active specifically in the Breast Imaging section with several research projects and publications. In 2011 the Academy for Radiology Research ranked the USC Department of Radiology 24th among American Radiology Departments in federal grant funding. The Department is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment across the Health Science Campus with four 3T and five 1.5T magnetic resonance scanners 9 CT scanners, including a PET/64 slice CT and a 320 slice CT, 5 fluoroscopic systems, and 14 ultrasound units. We opened a brand-new state of the art Norris Breast Center, occupying almost the entire third floor of HC3, with all new 3D Tomosynthesis units, biopsy equipment, and ultrasound machines.

The Keck School of Medicine is a place of dynamic activity in patient care, scientific discovery, medical and bioscience education, and community service. The Keck School is also home to several research institutes, including the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute, the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Medicine at USC, the USC Cardiovascular Thoracic Institute and the USC Institute for Global Health.
