JOB TITLE: Assistant Vice President, Finance – Partner Brands

DEPARTMENT: Finance

REPORTS TO: VP Finance

LOCATION: St. Petersburg, FL

JOB SUMMARY:

The AVP Finance – Partner Brands has full responsibility for budget, trend, business plan and actual reporting of the partner brands P&L within SalonCentric. The position is responsible for supporting the Partner Brand team to drive the business performance as well as being responsible for forecasting and analyzing financial performance of our partner brand business.

This role supports the management team and provides financial analysis and advice in order to influence decision making and enable business growth. It is responsible for creating and updating budget and trend, developing P&L scenarios, and working closely with merchandising, category management, inventory and sales teams to ensure optimal financial performance.

The position must uphold the integrity of SalonCentric by following guidelines, ensuring control, and meeting expectations, goals and missions. This position reports to the VP Finance for SalonCentric and will be located in our National Operating Center in St Petersburg, FL.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with merchandising, category management, inventory control and sales operations teams to develop overall financial strategy

  • Elaborate budgets and trends for partner brands P&L

  • Serve as liaison for forecasting and address relevant analysis to drive sales and profit

  • Liaise with merchandising teams to improve cost of procurement.

  • Closely monitor contracts, inventory, sales, cost of goods, and productivity, working closely with Operational Management team to identify and achieve profitability improvement

  • Implement internal control improvement initiatives

  • Compile monthly performance summaries and commentary and present monthly results

  • Lead monthly analysis of Excess & Obsolete inventory and other Balance Sheet positions

  • Support key strategic projects as needed

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related field. CPA or MBA with concentration in Finance or Accounting preferred

  • 10+ years of experience working in related field

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required with ability to interact across all levels of management

  • Skilled at managing different and challenging stakeholders and relationships

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in financial modeling

  • Ability to multi-task and work autonomously in a fast paced, ever changing environment

  • Experience with SAP & Analyzer or similar systems highly desirable

  • Familiarity with the retail environment / distribution and/or consumer goods industry a plus, especially with professional/salon products

  • Expert-level financial reporting experience
