Description: Job Summary: Client is looking for an Analytical Lab Technician who will be responsible for supporting sample preparation and FIB-SEM analysis for battery materials testing and failure analysis programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge in executing standard operating procedures in a laboratory environment. Required technical skills: Minimum of 2 years working in a laboratory environment. Ability to execute complex, detailed test procedures with minimal input from engineers. Excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills with great attention to details. Experience with basic metrology instrumentation such as analytical balances. Familiarity with proper laboratory safety and housekeeping practices. Able to follow proper safety protocols. Experience using Mac OS X and Windows OS. Experience with operating various analyses equipment such as FIB-SEM, SEM, ion milling, TGA, BET, XRD, equipment maintenance, sample preparation Desirable technical skills: Science/engineering educational background. Experience with batteries and battery materials Experience in recording detailed and accurate test descriptions and data summaries. Experienced in sample preparation in fume/flow hoods, and preferably also in glove boxes. Able to effectively contribute to a dynamic and often fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
