POSITION DETAILS

Reporting to the Director of Business Analytic, the Administrative Organization & Business Effectiveness Specialist will be responsible for the following:

• Automate and enhance existing business processes, under the direction of Director and in consultation with other Finance Division employees.

• Assess the ways that technology is used and assist with the development of new and efficient methods to deliver information to users in the Finance Division.

• Lead in the coordination of projects for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of information sharing pipelines throughout the Finance Division and other Hunter College Departments.

• Identify business needs, in consultation with department heads, to develop and deploy knowledge sharing systems based on user requirements.

• Create and manage the Business Analytics SharePoint site in order to create a user-friendly repository for information sharing and retrieval.

• Provide regular feedback sessions, progress updates and promptly address any issues that arise during transition phase.

• Analyze and gather required information for process enhancements data collection and management systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree and four years’ related experience required.

• Experience with designing systems to improve business processes preferably in an academic, operations, or finance environment.

• Experience with SQL Server, SSMS, creating, maintaining databases and managing user access.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Software, specifically MS Access (Forms, Reports, VBA), Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VLOOKUP, etc.).

• Experience using Python to manage data in SQL databases: including data loading, data manipulation, and creating extracts.

• Keen ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments.

• Experience developing and presenting training materials using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Assists with planning, conducting, and implementing improvements to operational practices and systems aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness.

-Provides functional project support to areas in transition, collects and analyzes data, and prepares project materials

-Coordinates efforts between departments and between the college/unit and external participants

-Performs needs and outcomes assessments as needed

-May provide training and follow-up support

-Performs related duties as assigned.
