Job Description

Senior Software Engineer in Test, NetSuite EPM

Oracle NetSuite is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our product development team for NetSuite EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) products and help us make amazing software that delights our customers. Our team’s focus is on business applications built on Oracle EPM platform and integration applications built on NetSuite platform. We apply our deep understanding of business planning and budgeting challenges to enable organizations to efficiently and effectively plan, budget, forecast, and respond to rapidly changing business conditions.

The candidate must be an extremely bright, detail-oriented, and accomplished problem solver, capable of troubleshooting complex software application problems. Experience with planning and budgeting is a plus but not required. We recognize that you will not likely possess every skill described below but if you are smart, friendly, collaborative, and love testing software, keep reading and consider being a part of our small and growing team!

Your daily responsibilities:

  • Design and execute test plans for newly developed features and defect fixes

  • Investigate, reproduce, and analyze customer reported software defects

  • Actively participate in agile meetings with product management and engineering

  • Contribute to the analysis of functional requirements

Minimum qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent in work experience and self-study

  • Minimum 7 years in Software QA, development, or other related IT teams

  • Good knowledge of test methodologies and industry standard test tools

  • Experience with using or implementing test automation frameworks

  • Experience with performance testing

  • Excellent communicator in English in both technical and non-technical contexts

  • Organized and reliable, attentive to detail, able to efficiently manage multiple tasks

  • Enthusiasm about exploratory testing and processing incoming defects

  • Strong interest in business planning and budgeting processes

  • Working knowledge of databases

  • Able to work with minimal supervision

  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile/Scrum

One or more of the following could really make you stand out:

  • Experience with Oracle EPM and/or NetSuite ERP

  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams

  • Programming experience in Java, Groovy, or other object-oriented language or Essbase

  • Background/coursework in finance or business management
