Oracle (Senior) System Engineer in Taiwan

Job Description

This senior position is created to hire an experienced engineer in engineered system stress testing team to guard the quality of the engineered system Oracle Database software releases. The job includes test developing for engineered system features, reviewing Engineered system defects in cloud platforms and improve respective test coverage, enhancing test automation and report creation, and streamlining engineering system software release process.

Key Objective

  1. Understand full stack of cloud service, including platform, OS, virtualization, cluster and Oracle database

  2. Study functional and design documents of Oracle cloud features

  3. Define quality criteria of Oracle cloud services

  4. Analyze cloud traffic and statistical reports to extract usage patterns

  5. Design cloud service test cases and compose test documents

  6. Orchestrate and deploy automated test cases

  7. Communicate improvements requirement with development teams

  8. Verify that service security, availability, scalability and performance are maintained with configuration and code changes

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer or Engineering or Science majors (Mathematics / Physics / Statistics and more).

  2. Over 5 years of experience in Linux or related technical skill.

  3. Must be expert at least 2 of the following domain knowledge:

  • Linux performance / kernel tuning

  • Networking

  • Storage

  • Shell scripting

  1. Following are nice to have but not required
  • Experiences in large scale production system

  • Oracle DB

  • Exadata experience is a big plus

  • Operating System Internal
