Meta Risk Management Specialist - Detection (Singapore) in Singapore

Summary:

The Global Response Operations organization within Global Operations responds to real-time crises, proactively identifies and evaluates emerging risks, conducts risk-related investigations, and assesses what we could be doing to best benefit our community. By understanding and consistently managing incidents and real-time crises to resolution, the organization drives continuous improvement with our partners across Meta.The Detection team within Global Response Operations is focused on detecting emerging on-platform risks that pose harm to our community and businesses on our platform. We identify, investigate and understand those risks. We partner closely with other Global Response Operations teams, Policy, Product and Process teams to mitigate those risks. We are looking for someone who has a passion for identifying risks and diving deep to understand where and how these are manifesting on our platforms. This individual has a demonstrated ability to leverage large data sets and advanced tooling to both detect emerging risks and investigate them. The successful candidate will have strong analytical & investigative skills and should be comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation.This is a full time in offfice role based in Singapore.

Required Skills:

Risk Management Specialist - Detection (Singapore) Responsibilities:

  1. Drive the scoping & development of signals for key problem areas/ abuses

  2. Identify emerging risks using on-platform and off-platform signals, through monitoring & analysis

  3. Conduct investigations to develop a deeper understanding of emerging trends and evolving risks in priority areas across community, ads and/or commerce

  4. Use quantitative & qualitative research methods to perform root cause analyses on investigative findings or high priority escalations

  5. Influence and support innovation of technology, as well as adoption of technical solutions, that improves our risk detection capabilities (effectiveness & efficiency)

  6. Work cross-functionally to drive mitigation for identified risk areas, including conducting enforcement on violating trends

  7. Build and execute risk detection initiatives to support the management of critical events, such as elections and crises

  8. Use data and internal tools to identify and investigate potential risk areas and patterns at scale and across abuse types

  9. Partner with internal experts to build a deep understanding of how, where, and why diverse forms of risk manifest across Meta platforms

  10. Synthesize investigative findings through the creation of analysis and presentations that provide a succinct, coherent narrative assessing risk

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 4+ years experience in investigative, data analysis, visualization or technical systems work in a Trust & Safety or Risk Management/Operations role

  2. Strong Data Skills - SQL proficiency required

  3. Comfortable working with complex data sets with an aptitude for risk identification and analysis

  4. Demonstrated analytical-thinking and problem-solving experience

  5. Experience communicating results of technical analyses with technical and non-technical partners

  6. Experience executing strategic projects with cross-functional partners

  7. Experience prioritizing multiple functions and tasks

  8. Knowledge of global current events, including developments in law, politics, technology and culture

  9. Comfortable working with potentially graphic and objectionable content

  2. Proficiency in multiple languages
