Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job

At Unilever Food Solutions, our purpose is to Free Chefs to love what they do. We work with Hotels, Restaurants and Caterers to create exciting menus that are good for diners, and good for the planet. Our brands include Knorr Professional & Best Foods— trusted and used by chefs and F&B operators every day.

We are searching for an experienced Regional Brand & Innovation Assistant Manager to take Global strategy and leverage local insight to strengthen the existing portfolio and build the future portfolio for Out-of-Home across Savoury, Dressings, Plant-Based Categories.

You will own UFS Singapore Category Strategy and Innovation / Rennovation roadmaps, as well as ‘Brand-Led Growth’ campaigns for trend setting. On portfolio development, you will be end-to-end owner to ideate, develop, launch innovation/renovations and driving optimization through pitching to operators and collecting their feedbacks.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

INSIGHT:

  • Understand deeply category insights and foresights on core spaces-- from trends to tensions, opportunities and competition.

  • Work closely with Sub Asia and SEASA regional category team to ensure PU Category Strategies reflect key insights from SG.

  • Work closely with Operator Experience Marketing to understand the Customer Experience (CX).

CATEGORY ROADMAP AND OPERATION:

  • Assist PU category team on SG Future growth strategy for Savoury, Dressings and Plant-Based to capitalize trends and tailwinds, or fix the tensions

  • Support and input loca insights on 12Q Plan for innovation, rejuvenation and master brand BLG.

  • Support tracking SG funnel value and ensure projects are on track

  • Monitor overall SG portfolio and analysis for room to grow, harmonize or simplify

  • Design highly competitive 6P’s to drive sustainable growth and future-proof our business

  • Develop operator-relevant 6Ps of Top 10, innovation and rennovation:

  • Develop strong purpose-driven propositions & selling stories – Needs/Solutions

  • Design & craft exceptional product & packaging experiences, including artwork in line with global guidelines

  • Develop campaign ideas with agency partners based on the global guidelines

  • Create online and offline launch plans for high impact conversion-driven Operator Journeys, including 7OA

OX CAMPAIGN- VISITED:

  • Pitch, test and learn and optimization of innovation/renovation projects based on feedback from operators

  • Lead innovation and renovation launch and test through visited operator campaigns

  • Lead master brand BLG (UFS brand and Knorr Professional brand through Future Menu) from START to Launch, PLE (Post Launch Evaluation)

  • Design and deploy OX campaigns for visited operators to drive reach and penetration of Top 10 and innovation/renovation according to IBP priority and KPIs

  • Support CD team and chef team on engaging with top visited operators on ideation and co-creation

EXECUTION:

  • Project & Stakeholders management

  • Lead product network (Regarding cost saving, minor packaging changes, formulation changes)

  • Lead online and offline execution for landing of innovation & renovation

  • Lead PLE’s & course correction as relevant

On all of the above, you will get guided by Sub Asia category manager based in Kuala Lumpur.
