Vectrus ATC Instructor Lead in Saudi Arabia

Overview

The Air Traffic Control Instructor Lead is responsible for overseeing training in all aspects of controller operations, utilizing a deep understanding of standard Air Traffic Control (ATC) concepts, practices, and procedures. This role requires experience and judgment to effectively plan and achieve training objectives, with a degree of creativity and flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, scheduling, directing, and supervising the facility training of assigned Air Traffic Control (ATC) personnel in accordance with AR 95-2 regulations.

  • Supervising and conducting classroom and self-study training sessions.

  • Develop local course materials, training aids, and control scenarios to supplement and enhance the Facility Training Program (FTP).

  • Evaluate and analyze the capabilities and progress of ATC personnel assigned to the facility.

  • Maintain accurate training records.

  • Conduct position qualification evaluations for ATC personnel.

  • Recommend to the facility chief controllers who require proficiency or remedial training. Recommendations based on personal observations, supervisor comments, and other relevant factors.

  • Administer biennial written exams and conducting skill evaluations as required

  • Ensure facility rating and completion of facility management and administration training before assuming the duties of this position.

  • Other duties as assigned and or directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:

  • High school diploma required; Associates degree or an equivalent combination of college level Courses, military training and job site experience maybe substituted.

  • Graduate of a DoD, FAA or equivalent Air Traffic Control Course.

  • Have a Control Tower Operator (CTO) Airmen Certificate

  • Have a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate (FAA Form 8500-9) or military equivalent.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of four 4 years experience as a DoD or FAA Controller.7 years experience preferred.

  • Required ATC Training Management experience.

  • GCA/ Approach Control experience highly desirable

  • Minimum of three 3 years experience in a supervisory/training role.

  • Independence: Reports to Assigned Air Traffic Control Chief. Works within the policies and procedures of the contract. Authority to coordinate staff functions to meet goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the supervision and management of all personnel placed in charge of.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Aviation Operations Management specific to fixed and rotary wing aircraft.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include medical, drug testing, background checks, etc.
