Vectrus AH64E Maintenance Examiner in Saudi Arabia

Overview

As the Maintenance Examiner (ME)/Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) operating under the guidance of the AH-64E Standardization Instructor Pilot, the primary role involves training and evaluating MTPs and MTP candidates. This includes meticulous record-keeping of training and evaluations, ensuring adherence to current industry standards in course material and training protocols. The responsibility extends to maintaining accurate progress records for all trainees, aligning with established timelines to achieve customer objectives. In addition, the position involves executing Maintenance Test Flights (MTF) and Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC), conducting in-flight troubleshooting, and verifying aircraft airworthiness post-inspections, repairs, replacements, or modifications. Thorough completion of required aircraft maintenance forms, records, and logbook entries is essential. Regular briefings with flight crew members and maintenance personnel are conducted to support the various ME/MTP aircraft operations outlined above.

Responsibilities

  • Train and evaluate Maintenance Test Pilots and MTP candidates.

  • Develop and maintain training material as needed to align with customer requirements for the development and validation of MTPs and MEs.

  • Ensures accurate record of all trainees are maintained and a training plan is developed to meet customer needs in support of continuation training.

  • Works within maintenance Quality Control processes, procedures, and standards.

  • Ensures that Maintenance Test Flight activities and procedures are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established operational readiness (OR) rates IAW contractual requirements as directed.

  • Coordinates Maintenance Test Flights through the Maintenance Manager and Base Operations as directed.

  • Supports a professional development program in support of the Saudi Ministry of the National Guard (MNG).

  • Ensures all Maintenance Test Flight operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a safe manner.

  • Additional duties or tasks as directed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Successfully completed the Aviation Maintenance Officers Course (AMOC) Phase I and II or AMOC Phase I&II equivalency evaluation and Maintenance Examiner appointment by the US Army Directorate of Evaluation and Standardization (DES) or DES designee, IAW AR DCMA Instruction 8210.1 (AR-95-20) and AR 95-1.

  • Qualified on the AH-64E Series Aircraft required.

  • Experience:

  • Completed AH-64 Series United States Army Aircraft Qualification Course (AQC). Former experience as an MTP in AH-64.

  • Ensures that Maintenance Test Flight activities and procedures are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established operational readiness (OR) rates IAW contractual requirements in the absence of qualified MTPs.

  • Experience in a desert environment preferred.

  • Operated as a Maintenance Examiner in a military rotary-wing airframe.

  • Current commercial rotary-wing certification with instrument rating and 2000 total turbine helicopter flight hours with 500 maintenance related hours.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in rotary wing aviation operations and instruction, inclusive of maintenance, aviation logistics and flight operations.

  • Successfully pass the Army or FAA Class II Flight Physical upon hire, and annually thereafter.

  • Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms and records and other aircraft related documentation.

  • Demonstrated past performance and experience as an ME/MTP with organizational staff experience.
