Holycode Technical Business Analyst - Zurich Insurance team in Romania

We at Holycode are currently looking for a Technical Business Analyst (Insurance Industry - API) with strong skills and proven experience who is ready to dive into the Zurich Insurance team, for a full-time engagement, to join our team of passionate IT professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, pain points, and requirements related to API integrations in the insurance industry.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

  • Translate business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications.

  1. API Integration:
  • Work closely with development teams to design and implement API solutions that align with business requirements.

  • Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure the successful integration of APIs with existing systems and applications.

  • Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the functionality, performance, and security of the API integrations.

  1. Documentation and Communication:
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, system workflows, and API usage guides.

  • Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and progress.

  • Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on the status of API integration projects.

  1. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
  • Identify and resolve issues and challenges related to API integrations, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business processes.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and debug API-related problems, ensuring smooth operations and user experience.

  1. Industry Knowledge and Research:
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to API integrations in the insurance industry.

  • Conduct research and analysis to identify new opportunities for leveraging APIs to improve business processes and customer experience.

YOUR ROLE:

Participate on meetings with Business and API consumer Stakeholders to agree on API functionality, behavior, and interface.

Work closer to Technical Architects and other API Owners/BAs in the definition of Design patters to be applied when implementing Business Requirements

Write User Stories in JIRA to provide input to scrum team about how APIs should be implemented or changed.

Become the single point of contact in regards functionalities provided by the APIs and microservices you are responsible for.

Like to work on an Agile environment, can prioritize work and has solution-oriented way of thinking.

Prioritize the Backlog of User stories and Bugs around the APIs/microservices you are responsible for in order to deliver the value expected by the different projects.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in the insurance industry with a focus on API integrations.

  • Strong understanding of insurance industry processes, workflows, and business models.

  • Familiarity with API design principles, RESTful architecture, and API management platforms.

  • Proficiency in analyzing and documenting complex business processes and requirements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and resolve technical issues related to API integrations.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

  • Knowledge of data mapping, transformation, and data integration concepts.

  • Familiarity with security standards and protocols related to API integrations.

  • Working Knowledge of Agile work management tools, such as DevOps and Jira/Confluence

  • Knowledge of POSTMAN

  • Good English skills
