Overview

Responsible for Supervising the daily activities of petroleum operations, Provides input on the quantities of products required for supporting the mission. Provides information regarding the day-to-day operations of the site to the Logistics Management. Works on problems exercising judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Provides information or assistance that is used in the top management decision-making process. Write and submit a Work Instructions/ SOP and Statement of Work SOW for any projects as needed

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all fuel operations, fuel personnel, fuel systems, equipment necessary to perform fuel operations, and completion of preventative/corrective maintenance for Bulk/Retail Fuel Point Services in their daily receipt, storage, issue, and deliveries.

  • Enforces the Fuel Quality surveillance program for each product to ensure quality and operational effectiveness.

  • Provides all fuel expertise in ensuring the quality and accuracy of the preventative and corrective maintenance program is established, accomplished, and completed.

  • Reviews and evaluates short- and long-term mission requirements in terms of the fuel operations at the facilities.

  • Shall instruct subordinates in Security, Environmental, and safety matters; Ensure that safe work practices are practiced, and regular inspections are conducted daily.

  • Supervise and ensure all daily fuel-preventative maintenance work orders are scheduled and completed.

  • Assures facility and equipment sufficiency and informs the Logistics Support Director of any deficiencies that could prevent the accomplishment of the assigned day-to-day mission.

  • Plans, coordinates, forecasts, and schedules the shipment of fuel to ensure the required quantity is maintained to accomplish the mission.

  • Responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operation of maintenance, accountability and receiving and distributing of the fuel is accomplished daily.

  • Provide Guidance, Training, and Directions to all employees on all required Preventive and Corrective maintenance of the Fuel Distribution and Storage Systems.

  • Reviews and makes corrections or recommendations to all preventative maintenance.

  • Review, Develop and implement Wok Instructions, SOPs, Emergency actions, and Environmental support plans.

  • Supervise Fuel Personnel in the receipt, storage, and issue of bulk and retail fuel, ensure the SOP is followed daily, and ensure operations are conducted in an environmentally safe manner.

  • Reviews and evaluates statistical operational data for favorable or unfavorable trends in the logistical management of fuels.

  • Provides Oversight assuring all facility and equipment be fully mission capable reports all non-mission capable equipment if necessary.

  • Ensures all assigned vehicles are properly maintained in a safe operational condition.

  • Follows up and investigates vehicle breakdowns and accidents Report deficiencies, accidents, and inconsistencies to V2X Logistic Management.

  • Maintains daily log of quantity issued, and received and provides daily numbers to Department of Logistics Agency DLA and DOS COR for tracking and billing.

  • Ensures sufficient personnel on a daily basis to receive, store, issue, and deliver fuel.

  • Takes decisive action to eliminate unsafe conditions.

  • Provide coverage in the absence of Logistics management.

  • Performed other duties assigned, missions, and delegations.

  • Experience:

  • 8 years’ experience in Petroleum Supply Operations with 10 years in a supervisor or leadership role.

  • Skills & Technology Used:

  • Ability to supervise employees effectively; work under pressure, strict timelines, and regulations.

  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with external and internal customers, ability to keep records and prepare reports.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Fuel operations and their interaction with subsystems and users.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects successfully.

  • Strong computer skills including word processing, database utilization, and Excel programming.

  • Strong written and oral communication.

  • Effective interpersonal skills: the ability to maintain good working relationships with a multicultural, multidisciplinary staff, other departments and agencies, and other contract personnel.

  • Possesses excellent problem-solving, planning, organizing, management, and supervisory abilities and skills.
