Responsible for providing facility management services for all medical group facilities. Services include, but are not limited to, medical gas and vacuum systems.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the care, custody and protection of the real property facilities assigned and the real property installed equipment therein and is responsible for meeting work requirements.

  • Install and assemble gas pipes in medical facilities.

  • Test existing systems that deliver oxygen, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen.

  • Responsible for enforcing building cleanliness standards, conservation practices, and take preventative/corrective measures to maintain a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas. Inspects facilities for safety, security, and maintenance problems; makes recommendations on replacement versus repair, necessity of upgrading facilities and cost of such equipment and supplies; identify and eliminate safety hazards; assist with the regulation of medical waste and hazardous material disposal

  • Responsible for enforcing and maintaining the safety program in compliance with OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.

  • Inspects facilities for safety, security, and maintenance problems; makes recommendations on replacement versus repair, necessity of upgrading facilities and cost of such equipment and supplies; identify and eliminate safety hazards; assist with the regulation of medical waste and hazardous material disposal.

  • Will act as HAZMAT monitor.

  • Maintains policies and procedures, records of work orders and inspections, and review and evaluate current maintenance program performance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.

Qualifications

Minmum Qualiciations:

Education/Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor Degree preferred.

  • Must be trained with employed personnel to be able to certify medical gas systems to include oxygen, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, waste anesthetic gas disposal (WAGD) and medical air.

  • Shall have and maintain the ASSE 6010, 6020, 6030 certifications for medical gas systems.

  • Shall be qualified as defined by NFPA 99.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current, valid U. S. Passport.

  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.

  • Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and able to drive with a manual transmission.

  • Must have an international driver’s license and capability of obtaining an Air Force flight line driver’s license.

  • Must be able to communicate in English.

  • Must be able to pass a flight line access test and obtain flight line access badge.

    Other requirements:

  • Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.

  • Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.
