The Medical Devices segment produces a broad range of innovative products used primarily by health care professionals in the fields of orthopaedics, neurovascular, surgery, vision care, infection prevention, cardiovascular disease, sports medicine, and aesthetics. This segment is comprised of One Ethicon, DePuy Synthes and Cardiovascular & Specialty Solutions.

Senior Professional Education Specialist ETHICON, Poland

Location: The ideal candidate can be based anywhere around Poland

The primary objective of this role is to expedite the adoption of procedures by enhancing physicians' capabilities and skills through targeted professional education events tailored to the market. Additionally, it aims to establish consistency in learning standards across the various professional education events organized for and by our customers. This role is also tasked with ensuring the seamless execution of professional education events at both local and regional levels, with the overarching goal of enhancing the clinical knowledge and surgical proficiency of healthcare professionals. Furthermore, it is designed to identify market opportunities for professional education initiatives.

The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:

  • Collaborate in preparing yearly plans for specific specialties, with a focus on strategic specialties, including budget allocation, tracking, and event management.

  • Develop relevant professional education events to address Ethicon's needs in the CEE North region.

  • Organize and fully execute Professional Education activities based on Marketing strategy and the overall CEE Prof Ed strategy.

  • Manage selected CEE, national, and local training centers.

  • Take responsibility for establishing new Centers of Excellence or acquiring new faculty when necessary.

  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders such as healthcare institutions, professional associations, and academic institutions to identify collaborative opportunities and support the implementation of professional education initiatives.

  • Monitor Health Care trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes relevant to professional education in the medical field, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Collaborate with marketing and business managers to ensure event content aligns with key messaging and ideal faculty selection, facilitating the delivery of desired messaging.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of professional education programs through pre- and post-event assessments, participant surveys, and outcome measurements, utilizing insights to continuously improve program quality and relevance.

  • Represent Ethicon at industry conferences, symposiums, and other relevant events to network, share insights, and stay abreast of industry developments.

  • Support the development and execution of digital learning platforms and virtual education events to enhance accessibility and engagement among healthcare professionals.

  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and innovative teaching methodologies to incorporate into professional education programs, enhancing effectiveness and engagement.

  • Leverage digital tools and technologies to streamline ProfEd delivery, including online courses, webinars, and interactive content

  • Collaborate with selected surgical Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

  • Coordinate with Business Compliance specialists on administrative processes such as HCC, ARIBA, e-Marketplace, bookings, invoices, and logistics.

  • Assist in event registration and managing HCP registrations in registration systems.

  • Work with Business Compliance and Legal representatives on contracts and legal processes.

  • Ensure full compliance of ProfEd events and processes with the help of HCC representatives and Business Compliance specialists.

  • Utilize event management platforms for management and tracking (CVENT, Tracking Files).

  • Analyze data from systems and provide metrics to track ProfEd performance.

  • Analyze post-event feedback from customers, field force, and training establishments, and implement suitable improvement measures.

  • Integrate innovations into daily work, challenge the status quo, and proactively suggest solutions.

  • Pursue continuous learning, staying updated on specialties, trends, and strategies in the focused medical field and adult education.

  • Communicate effectively and enhance strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and transparency among team members and stakeholders.

  • Communicate ProfEd events calendar to Sales teams through emails, newsletters, and meetings.

  • Implement adult learning principles and instructional design when designing courses and selected soft skills.

  • Review faculty presentations before each event and initiate the copy review process when necessary.

  • Ensure faculty are equipped with relevant, high-quality, and up-to-date materials.

  • Contribute to Professional Education PR channels with data and success stories.

  • Share expertise and best practices with colleagues, demonstrating leadership and serving as a role model for colleagues, and providing coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues.

  • Fulfill other tasks/duties set by the line manager.

Qualifications

We would love to hear from YOU, if you have:

  • University degree – minimum Bachelor's degree.

  • Proficiency in English at an advanced level, native in Polish

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

  • Strong project management and presentation skills.

  • Product and procedural knowledge of the healthcare system will be appreciated.

  • Enthusiasm for innovation and a proactive approach to finding ways to improve processes.

  • Excellent organizational skills (with a minimum of 2 years' experience in an organizational role) and time management.

  • Ability to travel locally and internationally (possessing a valid B driving license).

  • Willingness to exceed the requirements outlined in the job description.
