IHG Analytics Specialist | Commercial Performance Analytics in Philippines

Role Purpose

Subject matter expert who is responsible for providing data-driven insights and analysis to drive business decisions, analyze system performance trends, and implement action plans to optimize efficiency. Additionally, they manage high impact-projects and act as a primary point of contact for specific focus areas, design performance tracking queries, maintain complex databases, and effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders..

Key Accountabilities

  • Work on high priority projects with huge impact to organization. Manage process and vendors regarding ongoing projects to ensure the delivery against business needs and monthly production goals.

  • Design and build performance tracking queries for individual decision support system users.

  • Influence business decisions from Test & Learn to Execution stage.

  • Primary point of contact for respective focus area and can represent the line manager’s duties if needed.

  • Develop, own and maintain highly complex data extracts and databases; ensure requirements are developed in accordance with specified business and technical requirements.

  • Champion the design and publishing of reports and dashboards and that can be self-service for both regional and global departmental user groups.

  • Apply analytical techniques to one or more disciplines. May perform statistical analyses.

  • Effectively communicate findings and provide actionable insights and recommendations to appropriate levels.

  • Confidently make decisions, perform day-to-day responsibilities and communicate to clients with minimal supervision required.

  • Drives own development plan and competent to leading self

Key Skills & Experiences

Education –

Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree or technical institute degree/certificate or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

Experience –

2 to 5 years progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency and understanding in one or more functions related to the position.

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

  • Demonstrated expertise in computing, statistical and database reporting skills

  • Demonstrated competence in programming experience with statistical, cloud environment and database software (not limited to SQL Server, Adobe Analytics, SAS, Business Objects, Google Cloud Platform, Tableau, Salesforce, Python, and R)

  • Experience with data visualization tool ( Tableau, Power BI, etc)

  • Enthusiasm for analyzing business trends and performance

  • Established a strong working knowledge of the different business functional areas and act as point of contact to respective stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate prolifically and be able to influence stakeholder of any level. Being savvy to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint will be an advantage.

  • Demonstrated experience in a decision-support and data warehousing environment.

  • Basic project management sills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrates capacity to understand operational needs.

  • Applies subject matter knowledge under limited supervision.
