Intel Commodity Manager in Malaysia

Job Description

The Commercial Manager is under the guidance of the Sourcing Manager responsible for the commercial excellence of semiconductor Outsourced Assembly and Test (OSAT) suppliers.

This includes:

  • Serve as the main interface to supplier's Sales team and the first escalation point for commercial topics internally & externally

  • Diligent maintenance of prices and commercial settlement of production material scrap, excess material as well as driving commercial operations, resolve price gap, invoicing & liability issues

  • Drive RFIs/RfQs and commercial negotiation with suppliers to support product award sourcing decisions

  • Partner with technical counterparts on should cost modelling, value engineering and design for cost and drive for implementation

  • Partner with finance counterparts on spends analysis & cost reporting and execute Altera finance initiatives with OSATs

  • Partner with planning team to provide guidance on price-based volume loading split

  • Drive cost saving/avoidance initiatives & track results

  • Achieve agreement with suppliers on product pricing/cost reduction roadmaps and drive constant improvement in overall commercial performance of suppliers

  • Support Sourcing Manager to drive price/contract term negotiations, sourcing analysis, cost roadmap alignment and strategy formulation.

Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Administration

  • Minimum 23 years of Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or Commodity Management work experience.

  • Skilled in Word, PowerPoint and data analysis with Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSAT industry related experience

  • Hands-on with SAP system

  • Skilled in Power BI reporting

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
