The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic Broadcast Engineer to support our customers worldwide using AMPP, our SaaS platform. To be successful in this role, you must have a true passion for helping and supporting and have our customers’ best interest at heart, as well as the business itself. 

The main purpose of the job is:

  • Put our customers first by providing industry leading customer service with innovative solutions to overcome challenges faced by our globally based customers

  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide solutions to our customers' individual needs

  • Own and Solve highly complex problems to improve customer experience

  • Work on a 24/7 shift rotation

  • Drive customer communication

  • Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles

  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to customers

  • Ensure all issues are properly logged within SFDC, JIRA and support programs

  • Prioritize and manage several open issues concurrently

  • Prepare accurate and timely reports

    What You Will Need To Be Successful

    Technology Systems Knowledge:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent combination of skills and experience. At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing day to day broadcast operation.

  • Cloud or Virtualization technology experience (VMWare, AWS, Xen or KVM)

  • Understanding of Video , Broadcast production techniques

  • Working Knowledge in :

  • digital and analogue electronics

  • digital and analogue video and audio systems

  • server-based applications and computer networking

  • Essential Knowledge:

  • Playout, Asset Management, Cloud and SaaS based Systems

  • Linux and Windows servers

  • IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing, Iperf, Routing Protocols, SSH, Network Monitoring / Troubleshooting tools, SRT video streaming

  • Exposure to security concepts / best practices

    Essential Skills:

  • Strong customer focus

  • Robust and methodical engineering approach to solving complex problems

  • Ability to operate in a complex environment, taking on multiple concurrent tasks

  • Owns a problem through to its completion. Never gives up

  • Strong analytical skills to identify root cause of problem in logs

  • Enjoys working as a part of a highly motivated global technology team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Fluent English)

  • Highly motivated to meet and exceed deadlines

  • Is hardworking, organised, team orientated and be able to work under pressure
