Vectrus Finance Supervisor in Marshall Islands

Overview

This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP

Under the general direction of the Finance Manager responsible for maintaining a complex integrated system of financial services that contribute to cost effective accounting management control over the project financial records. Supervises the overall General Ledger accounting tasks for multiple program requirements to provide accurate, timely, and reliable services and reports. Services include accounting, analysis, and active participation in the overall accounting period close planning, financial accounting reconciliation and analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Supervises Accounting employees, providing daily support and guidance. Coordinates daily workflow to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Ensures department performance goals are met

  • Ensures that all financial reporting activities to the customer for the program are thoroughly and timely prepared and reviewed and that all reports are in compliance with appropriate financial standards and company requirements.

  • Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities for department including selection, training, evaluations, vacation schedules and counseling.

  • Ensures that all reconciliations are completed accurately and timely for month end close.

  • Ensures all Journal entries are accurate and have all required backup.

  • Ensures all Expense reports/Advices/Cash Receipts are correctly booked

  • Interfaces with internal and external auditors.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and host nation Driver’s License, is required.

  • Experience:

  • Eight (8) more years of experience in accounting and finance including Financial Analysis and Accounting.

  • Experience in operations with multiple locations is preferred.

  • Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.

  • Strong working knowledge of automated financial systems and proficiency with database and spreadsheet software.

  • Specific knowledge regarding cost accounting data within financial systems is required.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Accounting section within the LOGCAP V program Finance department.

  • Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).

  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
