Ford Motor Company Senior Associate, HR Shared Service in Mexico

The Senior Associate, HR Shared Service, working under general supervision, is responsible for applying existing organizational practices and procedures for the administration of human resources functions, encompassing HRIS, compensation, benefits, staffing, and compliance with legal regulations, in a timely manner. The role delivers exceptional customer service to new hires and managers during the onboarding process, as well as addressing internal and external inquiries related to HR programs and initiatives. The role applies research, information gathering, analytical and interpretation skills to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity to foster a compliant and ethical work environment. The role also contributes to the enhancement of HR processes and the successful execution of special projects, all while maintaining accurate employee information in the HR database.

  • Manage incoming calls and service request tickets and respond to employee or people leader inquiries. Prepares the administrative documents and supports the resolution of processing HR service center requests, such as organization changes, information on HR policies, programs and initiatives, compensation changes, leave requests, and other data updates, with diligence and consistency in a timely manner in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Guides employees to the appropriate team/function to ensure the resolution of their queries.

  • Performs department-specific administrative duties, including employee data management, onboarding/offboarding, payroll processing, HR policy, and procedure communication, employee relations support, etc., and preparing collateral materials as per established practices, procedures, processes, and timelines.

  • Supports in monitoring KPIs such as first contact resolution rate, average response time, employee satisfaction score, accuracy of employee data, and onboarding time to ensure efficient and effective experiences and assists with the development of templates for internal reporting on key HR drivers and leading indicators to senior HR Shared Service stakeholders.

  • Interprets defined company policies and practices to complete administrative tasks involved in the daily implementation of HR processes and workflows, including employee inquiries, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and employee data management. Provides dedicated support to multiple client HR managers with a specific focus on HR transactions, data maintenance, reporting, onboarding, etc.

  • Assists in the delivery of special projects for HR-related programs and initiatives including benchmarking of compensation practices and standards, executing employee engagement surveys, researching emerging HR technology solutions, implementing a new HR KPI dashboard, etc. by liaising with external consultants and other HR functions, conducting research into relevant issues, gathering information on industry-wide practices and standards, scheduling and planning project activities, and preparing deliverables.

  • Assists in record-keeping and creating and updating HR business processes mapping and internal standard operating procedures through research, information gathering, and application of analytical ability, identifies inconsistencies if any, and effectively brings them to the managers’ attention.

  • Assists in the preparation of HR-specific communications related to services offered by the HR Shared Service function as per established processes. This contributes to achieving the organizational objective of delivering efficient and effective HR services.

  • Supports in areas such as HRIS, compensation, benefits, and staffing processes. Contributes to delivering exemplary customer service and support to new hires and hiring managers during onboarding, internal movements, and external labor processes. Provides orientation and briefing to staff members, establishes a mechanism for easy access to required human resource rules, and regulations, and ensures that all staff members are sufficiently informed and briefed on human resources issues, services, and materials.

  • Assists in regularly updating existing HR Shared Service policies related to employee inquiries, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and employee data management, among others, to ensure compliance and consistency with relevant laws and company-wide policies. This ensures that HR operations align with legal requirements and organizational standards.

  • Maintains accurate and confidential records and data related to HR Shared Service including employee personal details, compensation, benefits enrollment, performance evaluations, and leave records to ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulatory guidelines, and company policies. Coordinates data integrity and information transfer with external payroll suppliers.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience with a Master’s degree or 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, or a related field.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) (Preferred)

  • SHRM Certified Professional (Preferred)

Work Requirements:

  • Involves occasional (defined as one-third or less of the time) lifting of no more than 10 pounds at a time. Work is performed primarily in a seated position and entails no significant stooping, standing, climbing, walking, etc. Many sedentary jobs require good use of the hands and fingers for repetitive hand-finger actions. Working conditions occur within low to moderate noise levels related to the use of standard office or classroom equipment.
