In this role, you will be creating and designing test automation for cloud and in-vehicle applications and operating system. You will be working with cross-functional teams across the company to launch best in class technical solutions for testing software capabilities of our vehicles. You will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of new and existing automation frameworks, continued evaluation of automated test cases for inclusion in test regression, tests coverage and newly implemented features and functionality. You will be working directly with Developers, Technical Program Managers, and Project Managers to ensure quality development and quality of our applications and platforms. You will be responsible for driving the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies. You will be a key member of a team building innovative OTA solutions that will change customers lives for the better

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, .NET, Python, PERL, C# or C/C++ Experience in test framework design and development

  • Experience with agile testing methodologies and best practices

  • Analyze and communicate test results and defect tracking

  • Participate in performance and load test efforts

  • Assist in the planning, creation and control of test environments and test data

  • Participate in the review of QA procedures and processes

  • Ability to understand project architecture such and high-level design, low level design and network architecture

  • Knowledge of release, change and configuration management

  • Ability to develop automation test strategy, plan and approach r

  • Demonstrated functional, non-functional and manual testing knowledge

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology

  • Strong objected oriented design and coding skills

  • Coding experience with automated testing frameworks, tools, services and physical devices

  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions

  • Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly

  • Experience in agile or scrum software development methodologies

Experience in the use of specialist tool, for example selenium, SOAP-UI, eggplant, Tosca for functional test automation. Micros focus LoadRunner or JMeter for performance testing and JAWS for accessibility testing.
