Vectrus Repair & Utilities (R&U) Lead in Kuwait

Overview

This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP

Under supervision of Trade Shop Supervisor, provides mechanical systems support services, including maintenance of all associated systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and plumbing-related systems, such as water, fuel and sewage, exterior plumbing, and interior plumbing. Is familiar with the systems used to dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, to include recycled materials mechanical systems (i.e. compactors) as well as incinerators. Will operate the incinerator as the primary operator. Works within a team of systems technicians to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion.

  • Provides mechanical systems support services, including maintenance of all associated systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and plumbing-related systems, such as water, fuel and sewage, exterior plumbing, and interior plumbing.

  • Is familiar with the systems used to dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, to include recycled materials mechanical systems (i.e. compactors) as well as incinerators.

  • Will operate the incinerator as the primary operator.

  • Works within a team of systems technicians to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • Associate Degree in a field similar to Environmental

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Operator’s License and host nation Driver’s License, is required.

  • Skill level and/or years of experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of mechanical systems maintenance experience.

  • Licenses/Certifications:

  • HAZWOPER: 40-Hr, 24-Hr, and 8-Hr Refresher; HAZCOM (GHS); Upper Respiratory Protection; Confined Space; Lock Out/Tag Out (LO/TO); Respiratory Fit Testing; SCBA Training, Safe Incinerator Use.

  • All trainings will be refreshed annually and conducted via in-person and online trainings

  • Skills

  • Able to provide mechanical systems support services, including maintenance of all associated systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and plumbing-related systems, such as water, fuel and sewage, exterior plumbing, and interior plumbing.

  • Knowledge of the systems used to dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, to include recycled materials mechanical systems (i.e. compactors) as well as incinerators.

  • Able to operate the incinerator as the primary operator.

  • Able to work within a team of systems technicians to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion.

  • Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).

  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
