The Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking a high-potential Mid level Software Engineer (Embedded) to join Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) team based in ASEM Tower, Samsung-Dong, Seoul. We develop the platform, algorithm, and Linux-based custom OS for Health Management of our products, and work in an On - site ( Work from office).

Work Information:

Work Location : Asem Tower (Samsung-dong)

Work Type : On-Site (Work from office)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop Embedded Linux application software to process airplane data

  • Design, develop and test software components and functions

  • Support development of software functional requirements

  • All software engineering lifecycle activities in line with DO-178 Aircraft Airworthiness Certification including planning, requirements development, software architecture design, software development, and verification for the Boeing products

  • The candidate will be involved in various phases of maturity, spanning from project inception through operational sustainment for both program-unique and product-line projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree

  • Experience in embedded software on the RTOS, I/O drivers, Networking (TCP/UPD), and Object-Oriented Design

  • Experience in programming in C and C++ (CMake)

  • Experience in Embedded Systems Software Development

  • Applicants must have enthusiasm and positive mind-set to learn new challenges and expand his/her skill sets

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Korean

  • Should be an excellent team player

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Unix/Linux and/or embedded RTOS experience

  • 2+ years of experience in development environments such as Git CI/DevOps tools

  • 2+ years of experience in C++ and/or Python

  • Experience in embedded Linux-based OS software development

  • Experience in developing software for safety-critical or hard real-time systems

  • Knowledge and Experience in network system protocols such as Ethernet

  • Experience in joining Agile teams for Software & Systems engineering

  • Knowledge and Experience in Avionics software components
