Oracle AML Business Analyst/Subject Matter Expert in Italy

Job Description

Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Role Title: AML Business Analyst/Subject Matter Expert

Oracle’s Financial Services Analytical Applications group is responsible for the development and marketing of financial industry-specific marketing, profitability, risk management, fraud, and regulatory compliance analytics applications. Our software is used in over 70% of Global Systemically Important Financial Institutions. Our market leading financial crime and compliance software suite is used by leading financial institutions globally and underpins Anti-Money Laundering and Enterprise Fraud systems at some of the largest financial institutions in the world.

Oracle software is powered by advanced analytics (Big Data, R, Apache Spark, Engineered Machines), and our group employs data scientists, financial engineers, software developers, and product managers; all of whom are focused exclusively on developing advanced analytical applications for the Financial Services Industry.

We are looking for an individual with prior experience in anti money-laundering regulation analysis and analytics, to join a team of product managers & developers who are responsible for a suite of a financial crime and compliance applications. Role Description

You will part of the team that supports the direction for Oracle’s Financial Services Analytics Group and as such, you are expected to work in close collaboration with Product Management, Data Science, Engineering and Sales leadership in the development and implementation of the requirements for the Transaction Monitoring applications.

This role requires knowledge of Anti money-laundering at a global level. Both from a business/data model perspective as well as the regulations that drive the products functionality. Ability to track, analyze and drive implementation of product updates to ensure clients remain compliant and in sync with evolving regulatory reporting requirements.

This is an opportunity to be impactful in a meaningful way, towards the building of the next generation platform for our Financial Crime and Compliance product suite.

Details

You will be responsible for…

· Keep current on AML regulations and regulatory trends in major jurisdictions across the globe and how they affect customer pain points.

· Analyze major publications red flags (such as FATF recommendations) and ensure complete product coverage of these areas.

· Understand the potential capabilities of new technologies (e.g. Machine Learning and Graph Analytics) and how they can benefit the AML product portfolio.

· Own the application data model and ensure it stay up to date with latest financial products and regulatory trends.

· Performing market analysis and definition and how it impacts product strategy and position. Analyzing the competitive landscape. Assisting in the marketing plan to develop collateral such as product messaging trees and data sheets.

· Support go-to-market plans and develop collateral that will support the sales and on-going client satisfaction of the product.

· Collaborate with development managers, software engineers and data scientists in developing product requirements and specifications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of practical experience in AML advisory roles within a regulated financial services firm

• In-depth understanding of global AML regulations, red flags and typologies

• In-depth understanding of financial crime and AML policies, procedures and control arrangements in complex financial organizations preferably covering multiple business lines (such as retail banking, correspondent banking, wealth management, brokerage, trade, asset management etc’)

• Strong experience in analyzing data from multiple sources, including hands-on experience with data mapping and ETL processes

• Knowledge of AML transaction monitoring systems, programming/engineering background and knowledge of Machine learning and AI technology - an advantage

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred with extensive experience in Financial Crime space with expertise in AML Transaction Monitoring

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
