Vectrus Task Order PRC Manager in Iraq

Overview

The Task Order PRC Manager is responsible for managing the overall planning and execution of all Facilities projects throughout Iraq for a large facility U.S. Government Operations and Maintenance program. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity all should equal 100%.

  • Provide oversight of all PRC operations to ensure optimal project planning, scheduling and execution to meet mission requirements.

  • Interface with Facilities and Post Management to provide expertise in project planning and updates on milestones, completion, and quality level being provided by the PRC.

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

  • Comply with all Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.

  • Oversight of work performed by tradesmen to ensure that it meets specifications, codes and established industry standards.

  • Instruct supervisors and staff in company work policies and procedures.

  • Review work orders and work order requests to ensure tasks are completed on time and inspect the projects to ensure all work is accomplished per the SOW.

  • Confer with staff to resolve performance and personnel issues.

  • Conduct daily meetings with trades to discuss project work, client concerns and trade shop workflow.

    MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

    Standard Office equipment that includes but not limited to, computer, laptop, scanner, copier as well as Construction Site Equipment that includes but not limited to all Trades (Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Masonry)

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    PRC tasks may range in complexity from simple assignments requiring labor only, to projects that require extensive advance planning, architects, design and engineering services and procurement.

    This contract is performed in a contingency operations environment, in a harsh climate, and often hazardous situations. While performing the duties of this contract, the employee will regularly be exposed to an extreme and austere desert environment. Temperatures can reach 120 – 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50 – 55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must be willing and able to perform job requirements in this environment, as well as deploying to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are typically six (6) days per week and ten (10) hours per day. Employees may be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors. All employees must be able to move quickly to cover during security alarms. This includes being able to lift, carry and/or wear

    forty (40) pounds of personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time and being capable of running during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk. All staff must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications – REQUIRED.

A Bachelors degree in Construction Management is desired.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license from home of record.

Security Vetting: Already possess a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security

clearance or be able obtain a favorable USG Secret clearance prior to being hired is

required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance level for the

duration of the task order.

Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere

and comply with safety, health and security measures.

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required.

Experience:

Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: Ten (10) years experience managing facilities related renovation and construction projects.

Qualifications DESIRED:

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Master’s Degree in a similar profession.

Relevant overseas contract experience.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio.

Previous work experience in hard environmental conditions.

Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.

    SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Oversees and manages multi-site projects as well as assigns work assignment to site managers or supervisors.
