Responsibilities

  • Recognize and consider dependencies in planning and decision making

  • Apply industry best practices for user software development

  • Conduct performance tuning to ensure code is scalable and meets performance requirements

  • Create and provide input to code specification development

  • Identify process improvements and system enhancements and recommend solutions

  • Trouble-shoot complex problems or issues through in-depth analysis of variable data sets and factors

People Management Responsibilities (for associates with one or more direct reports):

  • Seek to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution.

  • Delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. Identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed.

  • Lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. Create a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize accomplishments.

  • Provide timely feedback to encourage success, ensure accountability and connect opportunities for your associates' development.

  • Identify the right talent to achieve the desired results. Promote and build a diverse and cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align associates' skills to fill gaps.

  • At least 5+ years of experience in CCL (Cerner Command Language) and overall of 8+ years of experience, which should also include in Oracle Database/PL SQL

  • Should have a good understanding of Cerner Millennium Architecture and Cerner Millennium Data Model.

  • Should have Excellent knowledge on CCL (Cerner Command Language), Discern Explorer, Discern Visual Developer, and Olympus(preferred).

  • Ability to perform impact analysis on database and configuration changes.

  • Ability to resolve complex issues in a timely manner, mentor new associates and provide SME advice.

  • Ability to perform query optimisation of Oracle level queries or CCL level queries.

  • Perform complex troubleshooting investigations, document notes, and knowledge articles.

  • Debug issues/problems as needed (his/her own, as well as programs written by others).

  • Ability to estimate complex requirements and plan for completion of assignments and deliverables.
