Oracle Senior Software Developer in India

Job Description

As a Senior Software developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality software solutions that meet our product needs. You will work closely with multi-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and deliver robust software products. Your expertise in Java and Cloud based development will be critical in ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of our applications.

You should be able to architect broad systems interactions, be hands-on, be able to dive deep into any part of the stack and have a good sense of cloud infrastructure and networking knowledge. You should make valuable contributions to the team and impact work comfortability in a agile environment and be excited to learn.

Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with senior developers and architects as well as Product Management, IT and Operations teams for architecting, designing and developing Database Cloud products.

  2. Design and architect scalable and maintainable software solutions using Java technologies.

  3. Develop high-quality code adhering to coding standards.

  4. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

  5. Identify and address technical debt and refactor code as needed to improve maintainability.

  6. Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of software applications.

  7. Implement automated tests to validate functionality and prevent regressions.

  8. Debug and fix issues reported in production environments.

  9. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in Java development.

  10. Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the team.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  2. 4+ Years of experience in software development with a focus on Java programming

  3. Experience working with Cloud infrastructure APIs, REST API model, and developing REST APIs

  4. Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and proficiency in SQL.

  5. Experience with RESTful web services and API design principles.

  6. Knowledge of software development standard processes, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

  7. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.

  8. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards addressing challenges.

  9. Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
