Job Description

Oracle’s Construction and Engineering Global Industry Unit (CEGIU) focuses on project-intensive industries such as engineering and construction, aerospace and defense, utilities, oil and gas, chemicals, industrial manufacturing, automotive, financial services, communications, travel and transportation, healthcare; state, local and federal government.

The CEGIU has numerous products that support Enterprise Project Portfolio Management software such as Unifier, P6, Aconex, OPPM and Oracle Primavera Cloud (formerly Prime) that encompass resource allocation, cost reduction, supply-chain efficiency, and decision-making―using real-time data, for the enterprise market.

The Consulting Solution Manager is responsible for providing implementation direction, strategy and architecture for Oracle Primavera solutions for existing and new customers. Consulting Solution Manager will be involved in an architect role for requirements gathering, estimation, design, implementation, and deployment of Unifier, P6 and Oracle Primavera cloud solutions.

This responsibility includes interacting with clients/internal stake holders at all levels to understand the business requirements to conclude the blueprint, configuration, testing, migration, support and continuous enhancements of the proposed solution.

The position operates independently to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices. Performs standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer specifications.

Standard assignments are accomplished without assistance by exercising independent judgment, within defined policies and processes, to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Experience:

  • 10+ years of consulting experience with Oracle Primavera products

  • 10+ years of experience in the role of an architect in consulting engagements

  • Enterprise Software implementation experience working for a software company

  • Systems integration experience between Oracle Products and other systems

  • Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle and implementation methodology

  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients

  • Excellent communication & coaching skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers, Oracle internal teams and partners for implementation of bug free solutions

  • Perform varied roles and tasks required to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs

  • Contribute to configuration reusability and knowledge management

  • Take ownership of assigned projects and pre-sales opportunities and drive them to closure

  • Assist in defining project implementation effort and business development activities

  • Participate in Organizational initiatives related to improvement of services from Oracle Construction and Engineering Global Industry Unit

  • Report to and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and with the team to ensure quality deliverables on the projects

Job Skills:

  • 10+ years of "hands-on" experience with the Oracle Primavera products having experience in the role of an architect in at least 2 full implementations

  • Experience in design and development of Business Processes with Workflow, Reports and Dashboards

  • Work closely with key project and business users to understand requirements and resolve issues around existing processes

  • Should have knowledge to conduct requirements gathering, business blueprint meetings, UAT meetings and conduct training on Primavera P6 EPPM, Primavera Unifier and Primavera Analytics

  • Experience providing technical solutions on moderately complex projects

  • Assertive with strong communication and organizational skills

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.
