Job Description:

As both a management role and hands-on professional, responsible for establishing and maintaining an efficient IT support function across MV EMEA. Responsibilities include management of internal EMEA based IT personnel and external IT partners, as well as supporting all relevant IT infrastructure, hardware/software systems, and key business applications established by the MVI IT Operations and MVI IT Applications teams. Adhere to all corporate IT security policies and remain aligned with IT management within both MVI IT and TAH IT, to operate within established IT processes and procedures designed to ensure consistently high levels of IT service and performance. Job duties:

  • Manage and supervise internal EMEA based IT associates and external local IT partners.

  • Work within established IT security policies, procedures, technology standards, network infrastructure, and organizational structure established by MicroVention IT.

  • Lead, participate, and coordinate resources to support various projects related to implementation and enhancements of IT infrastructure and business applications.

  • Manage the planning, procurement, acquisition, implementation, operation, maintenance, and obsolescence of IT equipment utilized across MV EMEA to support its business activities, end-user computing, mobile and cloud computing, and network and data center operations.

  • Responsible for utilization and proper use of the corporate helpdesk ticketing system; efficient assignment of tickets and workload; periodic and ongoing review of open and unassigned tickets; driving ticket and problem resolution process through to timely closure; and development of reports and metrics for IT management review.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third-party IT vendors and consultants to ensure service levels are met and maintained.

  • Perform systems monitoring, administration, technical analysis, and hardware/software configuration tasks required to fulfill business requirements.

  • Assist with the annual IT budget review process and manage expenditures within approved IT budget throughout the year.

  • Research and recommend emerging technologies and process improvements, considering factors such as cost savings, user adoption, standardization, flexibility and reuse.

  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with emphasis on Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field of study.

  2. Minimum of five (5) years of continuous experience managing and leading IT personnel.

  3. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.

  4. Experience working with and managing physical datacenters, end-user computing, and networking technologies.

  5. Proficient in managing customer and vendor relationships.

  6. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to analyze situations, respond independently, prioritize to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and be a team player while maintaining a positive attitude.

  7. High level of objectivity, tact, and diplomacy to establish and maintain effective on-going relationships between management, employees, and our business partners.

  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  9. Proficient with MS Office suite.

Desired Qualifications

  1. ­Engineer or a master’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field of study.
