Job Brief

Key Account Manager - North-West France (Rennes, Nantes, Angers)

Amicus Therapeutics is a global, patient-dedicated biotechnology company focused on discovering, developing, and delivering high-quality medicines for people living with rare metabolic diseases.

Position Summary

· Position Amicus as a company and the Amicus product portfolio (both current & future) as defined by the management team.

· Maximize sales & market share within territory.

· Liaise with key customers and other relevant stakeholders to positively influence the use of Amicus products

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Creation of customer targets, sales plan and action planning in line with country strategy and in agreement with line manager

· Customer contacts through one to ones, group meetings, congresses etc. with the treating physicians and their wider multi-disciplinary teams for the disease areas in which Amicus has an interest (both currently & in the future)

· Achieve use of advocacy for Amicus products including any necessary formulary inclusions. This will be through the delivery of product key messages, compelling clinical data discussions, countering competitor messages and relationship building with agreed target groups

· Achieve agreed sales and volume targets for designated products

· Utilize CRM system to support the sales process and maintain data in a timely manner as defined as required.

· Conduct a regular territory analysis in order develop an in depth understanding of customers, competitor landscape & activities and trends in sales and market share.

· Ensuing a high level of product, therapeutic and competitor knowledge is obtained and maintained

· Provide market access support working closely with key internal and external stakeholders.

· Preparation and presentation of business reviews on a regular (usually quarterly) basis

· Compliance with all company and local regulations, alignment with local Code of Conduct.

· Compliance with both the local jurisdictions legal, regulatory, professional and ethical requirements and/or Amicus standard operating procedures to ensure adherence with whatever is the most exacting standard.

· Implement the Amicus commercial strategy within agreed promotion and cost budget.

· Liaison and collaborative working with relevant internal staff (especially Medical Affairs) as required

· Carry out other related tasks and special projects with a national/international implication for Amicus

Requirements

Educational Requirements

· Degree qualified in Healthcare/Life Sciences (or equivalent)

· Must achieve and maintain defined industry educational and qualification requirements within the country of employment in order to be able to perform their role

Professional Work Experience Requirements

· Appropriate track record of success in sales ideally within specialty pharma, rare disease and orphan drug sales ideally with experience in secondary care environment, product launches and effective account management.

· In depth knowledge of country healthcare system, hospital as well as office-based physician business

Experience and Skills

· A passion for helping patients with rare diseases

· Autonomy, self-motivation and efficiency, with an appropriate sense of urgency in a fast-paced and dynamic entrepreneurial environment whilst working at times with ambiguity

· Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously

· Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to engage and influence effectively with key stakeholders through strong presentation & effective interpersonal skills

· Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems.

Travel

· This will be a field-based position at a location indicated in the Employment Contract

· Willingness and ability to travel throughout country/countries with occasional international travel
