Welcome to SVA’s jobs portal, your one-stop shop for finding the most up to date source of employment opportunities. We have partnered with the National Labor Exchange to provide you this information. You may be looking for part-time employment to supplement your income while you are in school. You might be looking for an internship to add experience to your resume. And you may be completing your training ready to start a new career. This site has all of those types of jobs.

Here are a few things you should know:
  • This site is mobile friendly. You do not need a log-in or password to access information.
  • Jobs on this site are original and unduplicated and come from three sources: the Federal government, state workforce agency job banks, and corporate career websites. All jobs are vetted to ensure there are no scams, training schemes, or phishing.
  • The site is refreshed daily to remove out-of-date content.
  • The newest jobs are listed first, so use the search features to match your interests. You can look for jobs in a specific geographical location, by title or keyword, or you can use the military crosswalk. You may want to do something different from your military career, but you undoubtedly have skills from that occupation that match to a civilian job.

Gitlab Senior UX Researcher in Finland

Senior UX Researcher

at GitLab

Remote

The GitLab DevSecOps platform (https://about.gitlab.com/solutions/devops-platform/) empowers 100,000+ organizations to deliver software faster and more efficiently. We are one of the world’s largest all-remote companies (https://about.gitlab.com/company/culture/all-remote/guide/) with 2,000+ team members and values (https://handbook.gitlab.com/handbook/values/) that foster a culture where people embrace the belief that everyone can contribute. Learn more about Life at GitLab (https://vimeo.com/778157354) .

UX Researchers collaborate with our Product Designers, Product Managers and the rest of the community to assist in determining what features should be built, behave and priorities. Not only will you conduct your own research, usually foundational and/or problem/solution validation, you’ll also help to set the guardrails for the PM’s and Product Designers to run their own research. Research is highly valued at GitLab so instead of trying to justify the value of research, you will instead build strong relationships with your stakeholders and dive deep into the tech to help guide their decisions.

You will be partnering with our Create (https://handbook.gitlab.com/handbook/engineering/development/dev/create/) team, who focus on some of our key products including Code Creation and Code Review.

  • Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers and Engineers on research projects.

  • Conduct all stages of UX Research: identifying, planning, driving, conducting, analysing and reporting.

  • Use a variety of qual and quant research methods to apply to research questions.

  • Be an advocate for research with your stakeholders, guiding them on best practice and enabling them to conduct their own research where required.

What you’ll bring

  • Deep experience running mixed-methods research.

  • Strong stakeholder management experience - get buy-in from your stakeholders on the work you're doing, balancing short term work with long-term, strategic projects.

  • Experience working in a highly iterative, fast paced environment. Have the ability to pivot with sudden changes in direction.

  • Must have experience working on a developer tooling product, or partnering directly with developers.

  • Self-motivated and self-managing (https://handbook.gitlab.com/handbook/values/#efficiency) .

  • Experience with workflows and tooling used by engineering, design and product teams
