SUMMARY

This person will assist the Supply Chain Operations team in all functions for the EMEA region. Including processing of purchasing requisitions into STO and PO for supplies into the EMEA DC’s. This person reviews all associated paperwork for correctness and completeness before handing it over for logistics execution. This function also includes maintaining the supply chain master data on the ERP system, reviewing the MRP signals and liaising with vendors to assure agreed delivery times are met.

In close interaction with Sourcing, QA and 3PL service providers, this person assures a constant and reliable supply of quality product, by agreeing delivery schedules, by creating and maintaining deliveries and by doing the inbound planning.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checks daily MRP signals for the EMEA DC’s for PO release dates, expediting and de-expediting, and agrees with vendors accordingly. Creates and maintains STO’s and PO’s accordingly.

  • Sets up delivery schedules with forwarders and 3PL and maintains deliveries. Checks open inbound transactions regularly and checks if outbound deliveries from intercompany vendors are correctly processed, especially towards month end.

  • Tracks and follows up on all shipments in transit to the EMEA DC’s, receives of goods and availability checks in SAP.

  • Works closely with customer service department to optimize the supply and coordinates with suppliers on unexpected large orders and contracts.

  • Always assures that the ERP system provides reliable information concerning open purchase orders and communicates issues. Review weekly forecast deletion.

  • Assists the Supply Chain Team with weekly vendor backlog review meetings.

  • Assists maintaining the ERP system up to date on purchasing master data for the EMEA DC’s; vendor master, purchase info records, source lists, etc. Assists with new material set up in the 3PL’s WMS.

  • Works closely with Sourcing, QA, customer service and 3PL service providers to assure a constant and reliable supply of quality products..

  • Checks completeness and correctness of documentation provided by vendors, such as, invoices, packing lists, export declarations, certificates of conformance, certificates of origin, etc. and prepares the import declaration for the customs agent.

  • Reviews and provides to vendors the necessary paperwork for purchasing customized products.

  • Pursues proactively continuous quality improvement throughout the Company.

  • Assures vendors are compliant with the quality and environmental standards and verifies that purchasing practices comply with established laws, policies and ethical principles.

  • Assists with monitoring supplier performance on a regular basis and highlights incidents of poor performance through the QA system (NCR’s).

  • As a member of the Supply Chain Operations department, takes part in SAP projects, system enhancements, helpdesk tickets and testing.

  • Performs clerical tasks and email review and control.

  • Performs additional duties and projects as assigned by the supply chain manager

  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follow safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3-year experience in supply chain.

  • Verbal and written fluency in English is required; German is highly valued.

  • Must be proficient with Word, Excel, Power Point and other appropriate software.

  • Good knowledge of SAP PTP, MM and MRP modules.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with executive-level personnel from both customers and suppliers.

  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.

  • Must have an enthusiastic personality and be able to answer the phone in a cheerful and helpful manner.

  • This position requires the ability to build positive relationships with our business partners.
