SUMMARY

Under minimal supervision, plans, lays out, installs and repairs complex electrical equipment, including automatic and process controls, wiring, motors, switches, switch boards, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, and electronic controls, including alarm and communication systems. Also, must maintain injection and roto molding tools and equipment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • elimination of malfunctions in complex equipment with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical components, if necessary using diagnostic systems

  • repair and maintenance of tools for plastic injection molding and rotary machines

  • repair and assembly as well as maintenance and servicing work on production machines and facilities

  • identifying and correcting faults and carrying out error analysis

  • organization and support of external fitters

  • planning and implementing preventative maintenance measures

  • documentation of completed tasks according to operational specifications

  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize operations

  • taking on additional tasks as assigned

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree as a mechatronics engineer or as an electrical specialist

  • At least 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician

  • Must have ability to diagnose equipment maintenance and repair needs and apply troubleshooting procedures

  • Good knowledge of electrical, mechanical and pneumatics

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and other software programs

  • Must be flexible with work schedules and be available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice

  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels

  • You are characterized by an independent and reliable way of working

    PHYSIAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
