As the ​Regulatory Compliance Manager ​ , you will provide guidance and advice on European Union product safety, regulatory and liability requirements. Support research and review of global regulatory requirements. Protect Company assets from both current and long-term risk through effective management of global product safety standards, including environmental-related aspects, and legal compliance requirements. Serve as company representative on related industry committees, including European and international safety standards committees. ​

What Will You Do?  

To grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

  • ​​​​Developing The Toro Company product safety and compliance policies and procedures

  • Representing The Company Committee on European and International technical associations, federations and standards organizations and committees related to outdoor power equipment, construction equipment and batterie

  • Assisting on European and non-European (global) regulatory topics

  • Collaborating with internal teams to develop compliance strategies to satisfy global regulatory requirements

      

    What Do You Need?  

    To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

  • Bachelor's, master’s or PH.D. degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Electrical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering is preferred

  • Excellent English language communications skills, both written and oral – knowledge of other languages is an asset.

  • Ability to elicit information diplomatically and to communicate complex information and requirements to a diverse audience internally and externally including various groups, business functions, senior level management, governmental agencies, subject matter experts, audience from varied cultures and backgrounds …

  • Technical and practical knowledge to standards committees and their associated function and activities, regulatory systems, and processes

  • Work independently and make decisions with minimum supervision

  • Travel frequently (primarily within the EU)

  • Home-based in EU -location in Belgium, Germany, or UK with easy connectivity to European Committees and Instances.
