The Role

The role of the Operations & Supply Chain Manger is to improve the Operational and Supply Chain outcomes for the Closures business through talent and capability building, process improvement, process consistency and the promotion of safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • A focus on Operation Performance with a focus on the safety of people, process and equipment

  • Driving manufacturing and supply chain excellence/consistency across the closures business

  • Delivery of operation and supply chain financial metrics (budget, unit costs, outperformance outcomes, working capital, freight, labour, warehouse costs)

  • Leading the development and implementation of Operational and Supply Chain activities and improvements within the Closures business to meet strategic and operational objectives in Australia and New Zealand

  • Monitoring, analysing and improving key metrics across Safety, Quality and People

  • Developing and leading NPD process, continuous improvement and quality capabilities

  • Managing capital projects

  • Management of S&OP and major import supplier relationships

About You

Successful applicants will:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably with additional APIC qualifications

  • Have significant managerial operational and supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment with excellent Sales & Operational processes as well as a focus on continuous improvement

  • Have previous experience within the high-volume manufacturing industry

  • Posses strong business ethics and be self-driven, results oriented with strong analytical skills

  • Be a strong people leader and team payer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of OHS&E legislation and EEO requirements
