As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

• Lead and supervise the hotel stewarding team to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen and dining areas.

• Oversee the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.

• Train, coach, and motivate stewarding staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate replenishment as necessary.

• Collaborate with kitchen and restaurant staff to ensure smooth flow of operations and adherence to sanitation standards.

• Implement and enforce safety procedures and guidelines in compliance with health regulations.

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement.

• Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and workflow to optimize productivity and efficiency.

• Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining records, preparing reports, and budget management.

• Resolve any issues or conflicts within the stewarding team and escalate when necessary.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

• Previous experience in stewarding or a related field.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.

• Strong understanding of sanitation and safety regulations in food service environments.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

• Knowledge of inventory management and supply ordering processes.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Certification in food safety or sanitation is preferred.
