Eaton Corporation Power Generation - Application Engineer in United Arab Emirates

We are seeking an experienced Power Generation Application & Design Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Power Generation principles, and applicable codes. Responsibilities include designing, analyzing, and implementing Power Generation.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and specify electrical systems/solution for Power Generation application including equipment design/selection and Software implementation.

  • Expertise in the energy storage solution design and application.

  • Expert in power systems studies including load flow analysis, short circuit studies, Arc Flash analysis, relay coordination using simulation software packages like ETAP.

  • Hands on preparing detailed electrical drawings submittals including General arrangement drawings, schematics, and bill of materials.

  • Able to engage with Consultants/PMCs and end-users for technical approvals.

  • Problem solving techniques including troubleshooting of electrical system site issues and provide technical support to End Users /PMC & Consultants.

  • Stay up-to-date on latest electrical codes and standards.

  • Early engagement with End Users/EPCs & Consultants on project development and spec-in activities when required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

  • Experience in electrical system design for industrial applications.

  • In-depth knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NEC other applicable electrical codes and standards.

  • Proficient in electrical design software, 3D Modeling software is a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
